Subcision
Release the bands that hold scars down.
Subcision uses a fine needle or cannula beneath the skin to release fibrous bands that tether rolling or depressed acne scars. As the skin lifts, collagen may also be stimulated. Local anaesthetic is used, and you may feel pressure or tugging.
It tends to suit rolling scars specifically, and it is usually one part of a broader scar plan. Improvement may begin within weeks and smoothing may continue over 3–6 months. Please discuss whether it suits your scars with a licensed practitioner at a partner spa.
