PDT (Photodynamic Therapy)
Light-activated care for stubborn skin concerns.
Photodynamic therapy applies a light-sensitizing agent to the skin, which is then activated by a specific wavelength of light to treat targeted cells. In aesthetics, it is used for stubborn acne, sun damage and rejuvenation. Time varies from minutes to an hour or more, including incubation.
Downtime is moderate: redness, peeling and sunburn-like soreness for days, with light sensitivity lasting longer, so strict sun avoidance is needed before and after. Any suspicious lesion needs a physician first, and Jenny does not advise on skin cancer. Please discuss options with a licensed practitioner at a partner spa.
